LINDA OBIE Linda Obie passed away peacefully, on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, MB. Mom was born March 3, 1909, and lived in the Beausejour area all her life. She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and her children, Irene (Irvin) Fuerst, Gladys Singbeil, Lyla (Brian) Ancel, Arvid (Jeanette) and Orlin (Myrtle). Mom was predeceased by her husband Melvin; sons, Vernon and Norman; and her daughter Deanie. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB with Pastor Jeff Kilmartin officiating. There will be viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Beausejour Town Cemetery. We would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Hospital for their kind and dedicated care given to Mom. Choices You can shed tears that she is gone, or You can smile because she lived. You can close your eyes and pray that shell come back, or You can open your eyes and see all she has left. Your heart can be empty because you cant see her, or You can be full of love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or You can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that shes gone, or You can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or You can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, forgive, love and go on.
